What do we have to offer?

All club facilities and equipment are free to use for club members at any time.

NU Rowing Club is based at the well-appointed NU Boathouse at Thorpe with a large slipway providing access to the Yare river.

The club owns a number of coxed fours, some of which are "restricted" making them ideal boats for complete beginners. There is also an Eight which is now used solely for social/recreational rowing and a coxed pair for beginners to take a few trips in to learn the basics.

Sculling at the club is now also well provided for, the club having recently acquired another 3 new singles and a pair/double to go with the existing double and 2 singles. We also have 2 "restricted" clinker sculls for beginners to take their first trips in.

Learn the basics or improve your techique in the bankside training tubTo further help beginners there is a bankside training 'tub' where you can learn the basic rowing stroke without even getting in a boat.

The boathouse itself has heated male and female changing facilities with toilets and electric showers. There is also a gym area with freeweights and a Concept 2 rowing machine.
